Class W2a 715. The Dawn of the Dead.
The newly repowered Class W2a 715 Diesel Hydraulic locomotive rolled out from Ratmalana railway workshops on 6th August 2015. This locomotive is completely different from the W2 class. SLR to Import 18 More Class S11 DMUs
Sri Lanka Railway Department (SLR) has ordered 18 more Diesel Multiple Units (DMU) from Class S11 from India. The main reason for this is to haul long distance trains on Nothern and Thalaimannar lines.
